Top 10 Halloween costumes as reported by NBC New York:
1. Kate Gosselin (whoever decided to make this wig is a genius)
2. Max from Where The Wild Things Are
3. Michael Jackson (any era, always wonderful)
4. Bella from Twilight (just my opinion: jeans and lipgloss does not a costume make)
5. Farrah Fawcett
6. Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl
7. Don and Betty Draper from Mad Men (fantastic vintage costumes on this show, by the by)
8. Michelle Obama (J.Crew will definitely be profiting from this one)
9. Anna Wintour
10. Lady Gaga (Yikes! I wonder how many hipsters we’ll see wearing this one on King Street)
Interesting that almost half of these costumes are real people. Have you ever wondered how people would dress if they went as you for Halloween? Give that a good ponder. I, personally, have no idea what I’ll be wearing come Saturday but now know to avoid these 10. How many Sarah Palins did you see last year? ‘Nuff said.
Moving on, in order to provide a dining option beyond candy corn this weekend (can’t get enough), Fish will be hosting a Predator and Prey Dinner. The dinner is based on the marine food chain and each of the three courses will be created as a duo, highlighting a predator and its prey. Think triggerfish and squid or shrimp and crab. The dinner will be offered Friday and Saturday evening, beginning at 5:30 pm for $35.
Either before the late night parties begin or after you’ve finished the trick or treating route, bring yourself (Kate Gosselin wig and all) to Fish to enjoy a delicious dinner, specialty cocktails and freakishly festive decorations.
Happy Halloween!
