It’s the first day of summer and I’m wondering what you guys have planned? We have lots of weddings, parties and events to look forward to at Patrick Properties.

Personally, though, I’m looking for ways to beat the heat. I’m not really a summer girl. Give me 50 degree weather, wool socks, sweaters, and scarves and I’m happy. There’s nothing better for me than strolling around with a chill in the air and going home to bundle up with your sweetie. I’m a sucker for a fireplace and I’ve been known to turn the AC way down so that I could have a fire even when the weather wasn’t cooperating. I really, really love winter.
Despite my dreams of fall, we are in the thick of summer and suffering through heat indices that have already topped 110 degrees, and I need to cope. I don’t have a pool, but we are lucky enough to live near an ocean, so I might have to check that out. Ice cream is also useful for cooling you down in the heat. I had some at Cold Stone Creamery this weekend that was lovely! Until I find my perfect solution, though, I’m lying low and taking advantage of my cool, crisp sheets, a dark bedroom, and a lovely air conditioner. What’s your plan?

Our plan is lots and lots of Ice Cream!! It’s the perfect excuse. You definitely had the right idea with Coldstone Creamery. Let’s just say, I’m an ice cream EXPERT and they have the best “Peanut Butter Cup Perfection”. Also, we live by the beach too, so we are very lucky! This summer heat can be a killer.
